Our company supplies BIOLOX® ceramic heads that can be combined with all TEP hip stems that we currentyl offer, i.e. both uncemented and cemented.

Proven technology
BIOLOX® has been in use since 1974. Since then, more than 4,500,000 components have been implanted worldwide. The clinical results have been excellent. The material has proven its excellent properties and is considered the standard by which all other ceramic materials in orthopaedics are judged.
However, CeramTec, the company that manufactures these materials, continues to improve quality. It is looking for solutions for young, active patients, as well as patients with heavier weight.
Additional head sizes, smaller acetabular components, increased stability and durability are clear R&D goals.
